
Ronald Lange, MD
Dr. Ronald Lange is a retina specialist with expertise in medical retina, retinal vascular disease (including diabetic retinopathy), macular degeneration and retinal laser treatments. He delivers
advanced diagnostics and treatments for complex retinal conditions.
Education & Experience
Dr. Lange earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of
Wisconsin–Stevens Point and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of
Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee,
followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in
Madison. He went on to complete a medical retina fellowship at UW Hospital, where he received
specialized training in retinal vascular disease and laser treatments.

Board certified in ophthalmology since 1986, Dr. Lange joined Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic in
1984 and has served the community for more than 40 years. Dr. Lange was recently recognized in Alumni Spotlight in the annual report of the Department of Visual Sciences at UW Madison for 40 years in the practice of Ophthalmology. He also served as WI State Chair of the Diabetes 2000 national project to reduce diabetic eye disease through aggressive early detection and treatment.
