Rachael Lyerla, MD
Dr. Rachael Lyerla provides comprehensive ophthalmic care, offering diagnosis and management of a full range of eye conditions. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care and helping her patients achieve and maintain their best possible vision.
Education & Experience
Dr. Lyerla grew up in Edgerton, Wisconsin, and completed her undergraduate degree at
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Before attending medical school, she worked as
a project manager at Epic Systems Corporation, where she gained valuable experience in
healthcare technology and patient systems.

She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of
Medicine and Public Health in Madison and completed her ophthalmology residency at
Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

When she’s not practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Lyerla enjoys trying new foods, traveling, reading
historical fiction, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Dan, their children, Hugo and
Lenore, and Bernedoodle, Tully.
